Welcome to Slamsid. These Terms and Conditions govern use of the marketplace website and related services by buyers and sellers. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
2. Definitions
- "Marketplace", "Platform", "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Slamsid.
- "User", "You", "Your" refers to any individual or entity using the platform as a buyer, seller, or visitor.
- "Seller" or "Vendor" refers to a user who lists products for sale.
- "Buyer" or "Customer" refers to a user who browses or purchases products.
- "Products" or "Listings" refers to items offered for sale by sellers on the platform.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By using the website, creating an account, listing products, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, the Return Policy, the Warranty Policy, and any other referenced policies.
4. Marketplace Role
Slamsid is a general online marketplace. It facilitates buying and selling between users. The platform does not manufacture or own every product listed. Nearby landmarks, including universities, may be used as location references and do not limit who may buy or sell.
5. User Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Impersonation and unauthorized use of another person's account are prohibited.
6. Seller Accounts and Listings
Eligible users may create seller accounts, list products, receive orders, and sell through the platform. Sellers must provide accurate titles, descriptions, images, prices, availability, and condition information where applicable. Listings must not be misleading. Sellers must fulfill accepted orders, comply with marketplace policies, avoid fraudulent activity and prohibited products, and treat buyers fairly. A seller does not need to be a student or affiliated with a university.
7. Prohibited Products and Activities
You may not list or engage in:
- Illegal products or activities
- Stolen or counterfeit goods
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or scam listings
- Dangerous or otherwise prohibited products
- Abuse of the platform, including attempts to circumvent marketplace systems
8. Orders
Orders are created when a buyer completes checkout for listed items. Orders depend on listing accuracy and availability. A seller or the marketplace may need to cancel an order in cases such as unavailability, pricing error, suspected fraud, or policy violations.
9. Payments
Payments may be made via the methods shown at checkout, which can include cards through a secure third-party gateway, bank transfer, or cash on delivery where available. Online card details are processed by payment providers and are not stored on our servers. Full payment is required before fulfillment unless otherwise agreed for that order.
10. Delivery and Pickup
Delivery or pickup options depend on the listing, the seller, and the buyer's location. Timeframes, when shown, are estimates. Risk of loss generally passes when the item is handed to a carrier or collected by the buyer, as applicable to that order.
11. Cancellations
A buyer or seller may request cancellation before fulfillment where the order has not yet been processed for delivery or pickup. Cancellation is not an unconditional right once fulfillment has started. Contact support with the order ID as soon as possible.
12. Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by the Return Policy. Eligibility depends on the product, listing, and reason for the request. Approved refunds follow the original payment and order process.
13. Warranty
Warranty coverage, if any, is described in the Warranty Policy. The marketplace does not automatically warrant every product. Coverage depends on the seller and any manufacturer warranty.
14. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews and ratings must be honest and based on a genuine experience. Fake reviews, manipulation, harassment, and misleading content are prohibited.
15. User Conduct
Users must not engage in fraud, impersonation, account abuse, harassment, unauthorized access, malicious activity, marketplace manipulation, or illegal activity.
16. Intellectual Property
The marketplace's branding, software, and platform content belong to Slamsid or its licensors. Sellers retain rights in their own product content but grant the platform a licence to display listings as needed to operate the marketplace. We do not claim ownership of sellers' physical products.
17. Seller Responsibility and Marketplace Liability
Sellers are responsible for their products, listings, descriptions, and fulfillment. The marketplace facilitates transactions and may assist with communication and disputes. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from transactions between users. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Account Suspension or Termination
Accounts may be restricted or terminated for serious or repeated violations of these terms, suspected fraud, or other conduct that harms users or the platform.
19. Disputes
Buyers and sellers should first try to resolve issues directly. The marketplace may review disputes related to orders, listings, returns, and policy violations and take reasonable steps based on the information available.
20. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
21. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes may be noted on the website.
